Anita Vatshell

Anita Vatshell is a playwright and hospice nurse living in New Orleans and Missoula. Her plays have been read at Montana Rep’s summer Colony and produced with Zoula Playwrights seasonal series. She is a member of Southern Rep’s new play development series, 6 by 6, a contributor to the 2014 music project, Boudin, and Bacchanal 2016.
Front Street is her first full length play. In November 2016, Leaving Cottonwood, her second full length play, will be produced by Generate INK in New Orleans.

Synopsis

A slice of life in the historic west's red light district of Missoula Montana near the turn of the century. Explores the lives of women who worked the brothels and underground opium dens to pleasure railroad workers on the frontier.
