I aspire to create work to honor the integrity of human experience and balance sticky topics with relatable characters, wit and love. Power and subjugation are consistent themes in my work for stage and screen. My goal in developing characters and stories is to challenge rhetoric, promote the notion that life is stranger than fiction, and portray compassion and acceptance. Vulnerable characters with a diversity of coping mechanisms intrigue me. Currently live theatre, screenplays and television series are the formats I explore for my themes.
