  • Mia McCullough: My Tidy List of Terrors

Thought-provoking and emotional. A fascinating look at how fear is passed down through generations. This specifically looks at the mark that slavery has left and how it continues to feed this low level (and sometimes not-so-low level) anxiety that African-Americans feel. It also made me think about how Jewish families are similarly afflicted with anxiety post-Holocaust. Very compelling piece.

  • Mia McCullough: Some Other Kind of Person

Engaging, scathing, uncomfortable, thought-provoking. A play about how much we Americans can fuck up trying to do the right thing when we dive into a culture we don't know.
