This play is a playful delight. Pastor gets a lot of character and personalities out of the Bigfoots in a short time. I would have never thought that a character from cryptozoology could be so relatable. This play is definitely worth the read and I would look for an opportunity to produce it as part of a festival.
  • The Adventures of Skater Girl
    13 May. 2018
This is one of the most creative concepts for a play I have ever read. The heroine is completely unique. I was delighted to have read this script.
  • Attachment Disorder

A wonderfully accurate portrayal of a teenager dealing with tough decisions. Ms. Kakceck does a great job at creating challenging familial relationships.
  • Knowledge Worker

A delightful piece of physical theater that captures the essence of email's oppressive nature - especially in the workplace. The staging's simplicity gets at the heart of absurdism, paradox, and theatricality.
  • Riders of the Purple Sage by Zane Grey
    13 May. 2018
Mr. Faute does an incredible job of creating a western that is practical to stage and while remaining thrilling at the same time. Upon first read, I genuinely couldn't turn the pages fast enough because I wanted to find out what happened next.
  • Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher
    13 May. 2018
This is an incredibly strong retelling of the story. Usher's sister (Madeline) is finally given a voice in this telling and she speaks loud and strong.
  • Ben Franklin & Baron von Steuben vs. the Paine County School Board
    13 May. 2018
An incredible timely and prescient drama about how the control of information/education influences future generations of the electorate. And while this piece focuses on the maco issues facing our country, it is very adeptly told on a personal level focusing on the story of two people struggling to do what is right. The dialogue is quite skilled and works on many levels. I highly recommend this piece.
  • At Water's Edge
    13 May. 2018
This is a beautifully written play. The emotion behind Ms. Avila's dialogue is tremendous. She also does a great job at evoking her settings/location. This would be a real gift for a lighting or scenic designer.

This play makes the character as well as the audience really struggle through making the right decision. Mr. Pastor places the characters in a position of self-doubt and panic and makes them deal with the consequences. In short amount of time - we feel the full weight of the past and the decisions the characters make to cope with it.
