Kate Colwell

Kate explores how social and technical systems shape one another. A playwright, graduate student in the Georgetown University Communication, Culture & Technology program, and professional communicator, Kate can be found sprinting around Washington, D.C. Her plays have appeared in the Women's Voices Theater Festival, the Heart of the Harvey 10-minute play festival, Inkubator on Air, and Georgetown Media Fest. She is a proud alumna of the summer 2018 cohort of the Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive, and a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

It’s the first day of the senior year of high school, and Hazel has changed. When Hazel’s friends Tanya and Meghan begin to investigate, Hazel panics and throws Trevor under the bus. What follows is a spiral of rumors that gain speed and ferocity as they descend through every medium of digital communication. Trevor and Hazel must find a way out if they are to reach the other side of senior year.
