I saw a performance of this play, and found it satisfying on many levels. The language is beautiful and resonant, and the play's turning point and ending are well-crafted and thrilling. Excellent roles for women actors (although the role of Orestes is no slouch)!

This is a wry and relevant play that is ideal for election-year production. With its finely-drawn and vivid characters, and with a lot of humor, it's engaging throughout. Highly recommend.
  • THE TALE OF SETSUMI AND HER BELOVED NOBU

I saw and enjoyed this play as part of an evening of plays produced by the Playwrights Center of San Francisco. The style and the use of masks stunningly theatrical. A lovely and unusual play based on a traditional folk tale.

I had the privilege of hearing this play read during a workshop session. Its mix of the supernatural and the real world is poetic and intriguing. It builds a sense of danger and dread quite skillfully, and the characters are engaging.

I attended a reading of this play and enjoyed it tremendously. It is quite powerful in summoning a dystopian future that's not too far off, using the audience in a clever way. The two characters may be any combination of genders, which is intriguing in terms of flexible casting.

Such dread is generated by these short, spare scenes. Terrific use of language, creating edge-of-the-seat suspense and engagement. Well done!

I heard this play read at the HBMG Playwrights Retreat! I found it vastly entertaining, with a satisfying central metaphor for its family of characters. The dialogue is funny, sharp, and sparkling, too.

First of all, a title to be reckoned with. The play keeps you on the edge of your seat and wondering if the explanations offered by "madmen" are actually the truth. Very creepy throughout, and the startling finish is quite satisfying!
  • Wonderland (a Kafka-esque comedy)

This play gets you out of your comfort zone and inspires emotions you're not sure you want to have. Keeps you guessing until, with a sick feeling, or maybe a feeling of exhilaration, you understand what's going on. Immediate and chilling, only with laughs.
