  • The Fierce Urgency Of Now
    30 Dec. 2019
Beyond the high level of craft and form, this play has heart. The playwright has constructed a piece that allows you into the world of the characters, both professionally and personally, and lets you see their wants and needs without showing the writer's hand. This play is a masterful achievement and I hope has a long life in the theatre. It deserves at least that much.
  • The Sun, The Moon, and Talia
    28 Dec. 2019
The playwright returns to this story's roots to show the dark side of fairytales. An arresting story woven with pitch perfect language and fantastic imagery. Would love to see this staged, especially with the suggested puppetry.
  • Two Cats Explain the Monstrous Moth Group
    27 Dec. 2019
A funny meditation on physics, psychology, and life. This is a fun and entertaining little piece that is sure to keep a crowd in stitches. Oh, and it has cats. That's always a plus.
  • La Llorona
    27 Dec. 2019
Part ghost story, part drama that delves into the inner lives of three teen girls, this piece interweaves both beautifully, lyrically, and suspensefully. If you want a folktale for the modern life, this is it.
  • THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR
    26 Dec. 2019
This play is very fair to all of the characters. It compares and contrasts different attitudes towards marriage and sex, without condemning any of them. And yet they all come away a little changed, as any good story should achieve. This is in addition to the expert craft the playwright shows in keeping the audience invested every step of the way, from the staging, to the dialogue, to the transitions. A very compelling play.
  • Very First Kiss
    26 Dec. 2019
A fascinating story that tells the tale of early humans and their struggles and triumphs, all without dialogue. The title draws you in, but there is so much more to it. The playwright has really thought this through.
  • Cherie/Cherie
    25 Dec. 2019
Channeling teen frustration with a portrait of their own life, this is a very insightful piece as well as being hilarious. Hope to see this one on stage soon!
  • SLOSHA: A MONOLOGUE
    25 Dec. 2019
I really like this piece. It leads you down a path, then suddenly twists around at the end. A neat monologue that gives you character insight and tells a story at the same time.
  • LEENA: A PRISON INMATE MONOLOGUE
    25 Dec. 2019
The playwright really inhabits the character in this piece, providing an experience that never falters. The use of sounds around the character make this piece complete.
  • Bigfoot Does Ballet
    24 Dec. 2019
The juxtaposition of two disparate images (youth ballet and a cryptoid) is a joy to behold. A funny play that will brighten even the most cynical heart.
