  • Annie Considine: The King in Yellow

I saw this read at Valdez Theatre Conference and was stunned! I've always loved ghost stories and this one felt like it was designed for me. Diving into a world with the same mystical/legendary quality Interview With A Vampire was thrilling and I so hope to see this in full production!

  • Annie Considine: landscape

I saw this piece at Valdez Theatre Conference and loved the dichotomy between the two time periods. The exploration of queerness, relationships, and femme perspectives in the dialogue kept my interest throughout. Really hope to see this staged in Chicago or elsewhere!

  • Annie Considine: The Devil And The Candlemaker

I saw this piece at Valdez Theatre Conference and absolutely loved it! The dark farcical ambiance is unlike anything I've seen on stage since Urinetown and provides a perfect ambiance for the introduction of an evil clown (Beans!). The dialogue packs a huge comedic punch and juxtaposes the struggles of the neurodivergent town mayor so well. So excited to see this again next chance I get.

  • Annie Considine: The Hand That Feeds You

I saw this read at Valdez Theatre Conference and was astounded at how much I was moved by a man made of old meat! A beautifully crafted story with a hint of magical realism that dives into grief in a way rarely done. Not to mention the stage directions made me snort-laugh at Spaceballs levels!

  • Annie Considine: The Totality of All Things

I saw this play as a reading at Valdez Theatre Conference and was blown away. It explores so many questions pervasive in media today - duty to report as a journalist, shades of culpability, and how to approach the truth. I came away hoping I would be able to see it again as a full production soon.

  • Annie Considine: New Oleanna

A fascinating delve into the intricacies of power-play dialogue with discussions that need to be held on stage! Loved the intensity of this show and hope to be able to see it staged soon.

One of my favorite coming-of-age stories I've seen on stage. A beautiful play!
