  • Hank Kimmel: Old Goldilocks and the Two Bears, a 10-minute play

A delightful and unique take on the Goldilocks story -- as an elderly American backpacker finds refuge in an enchanted part of Spain.

  • Hank Kimmel: Cool Metal

This is a gripping "love story" that had me racing toward the end to see what this couple was going to choose to do with their futures. I found myself entranced by the lean, efficient dialogue -- and the couple's "cool" desire to connect. I took a deep breath at the end. This was a real treat to read.

  • Hank Kimmel: Killing Time

This play operated on three cylinders for me -- as the mundane gets heightened in a surrealistic way. Something routine -- going to the same restaurant at the same time for the same time -- becomes twisted as the businessman protagonist realizes he needs to take further inventory of both the menu and his life. This is a fitting play to ready at any time, and, to me at least, particularly in the time of Covid where those things that are commonplace become unsettled. Nicely done, Len!!!
