Wow. This play was incredibly compelling. Even with the magic of the imaginary friend, and the unlikeliness of Isaac’s chance meeting of Trevor the story felt super grounded in a world that I could believe. I loved the cyclical tie-in where a story we heard at the beginning is brought up again at the end. I just wish there were more.

I saw this play when it was performed at the University of Iowa in 2014, and it was instantly my favorite play. I was so excited when I saw that this was on new play exchange and I would be able to read it and revisit such a brilliant play.

The multi-level storytelling is brilliant, and the plot is fast-paced and suspenseful. This play has an intensity about it that is truly gripping. This play is both able to find humor and heartbreak in a take on zombies (Bogeyism) that no one expected.
