I love all things Lovecraft…. Well, maybe not the man himself and his problematic attitudes…. This is a fun, funny play that I would love to produce one day! I tip my hat to you, Mr. Busser!

I am a fervent lover of ghost stories, and this short piece is right up my alley. What a fun piece to produce at a school. The humor, the mood, the twist, they all make for an enjoyable read.

I love any story that shines a light on henchmen henching. It’s hard to find someone who knows how to hench well these days. A super funny day in the office of a super villain.

It’s always so amazing when a story sneaks up on you. This one is a true gem. A wonderfully realistic encounter that teeters into the realms of the fantastic with casual ease. Bravo to John Busser for offering up a surprise in a world where every story is so full of twists that we have grown nearly immune to them.

Words have power. Even in jest, words can do damage. Karen Saari presents an all too real interaction in an eloquent way. At one time there were things that were understood as a joke, but that doesn’t excuse them even when everyone was supposedly in on the joke. I hate to admit that I was on the delivery end of this brand of humor as an overprotective dad. Never gun related, but a similar gist. We grow from who we were. This is a wonderful short play addressing an awakening of awareness.

There is a sorrow for all those things we don’t remember ever having but are certain we lost long ago. Beyond Neverland dances with those invisible memories of childhood that seem inaccessible to our adult selves. Hannah Lee DeFrates shows a love for her characters that shines through in their love for one another.

This is lovely metaphoric romp through the trials and tribulations of any relationship. Negotiation, compromise, discomfort, they are all landmarks along the way to a working marriage. Fun, funny, and maybe even bittersweet, this script moves at a perfect pace for a short film. Would love to watch it in my 4 bdrm, 4 bath home.

This is a genuinely fun piece. It pokes at so many things all at once while maintaining a captivating character. I would love to watch an evening of monologues from the universe this one inhabits.

Surreal and haunting, The Garden Party drips with metaphors and menace. Absolutely captivating from the start, the play unravels into a desperate attempt to escape the confines of an unexamined life. Hannah Lee Defrates has written a captivating play that belongs onstage.

Wow! What a one-two punch this short piece is! A ton of insight and fuel for endless conversation all on one page. Well done, Adam Richter!
