A sweet short play about passion and keeping excitement alive in later years of life. Kitty and Sam both long for that excitement, but it alludes them both. Would be a fun addition to short play festivals.

Such a fun short play about keeping a library afloat in the midst of an economic downturn; it pairs nicely with Erica's recent downturn as a new divorcee moving to a new town. The dialogue was quick and punchy, and the characters well-developed in just a few pages. Very enjoyable.

What a gorgeous play. It left my heart full and broken at the same time. TEN MILE LAKE explores the heartache of having an aging parent, of being an aging parent, of being a caretaker and not being there when it matters. Beautifully theatrical and full of love. This play will strike chords with any audience.

A SHIP OF STRONG TIMBER presents a scifi nightmare -- characters trapped together for four years with no escape from one character's psychological break. Rathbone creates a whole world in a few short pages and invites us to feel the claustrophobia of deep space. A really enjoyable science fiction piece that leans on character development.

ROOM 27 is so much fun -- what a great re-imagining of two wonderful absurdist plays, with just a hint of Luigi Pirandello. Funny, sad, moving, and thoughtfully-crafted, Burdick has given us a piece that any actor would love to play with. Definitely recommend.

A beautiful short play that explores the Chinese Exclusion Act and the lasting impact that it had in the lives of immigrants and citizens in the US. A wonderful piece to encourage voting and political engagement.

LIFE AFTER is a sweet exploration of childhood innocence in the face of death -- that the dead may have stories to tell and pass on to the living. Ava's imagination and enthusiasm for life are at the forefront, but her relationship with her father and her (absent? deceased?) mother is nuanced and full of potential. A lovely short play.

Utterly fascinating and full of heart, HOT & COLD blew me away. Each of these characters are so specific, their needs so vital, and their voices so necessary to a larger conversation about mental illness and community. I laughed throughout; in the end, I cried. A perfect play.

Mendoza has crafted a loving, lovely, and funny play about our struggle and need to communicate. An utterly unique exploration of artificial intelligence and the way humans assimilate information. I would love to see a staging of this poignant play.
