New York. Romance. It is funny and the audience will get a kick out of it, though it is tragedy. Terrific!

  • Cheryl Bear: A Small Attempt to be a Specific Woman, But Really Doesn't Mean Anything, Just Ignore Me

Apologizing for existing, for not making things easier for everyone else and the inability to let them all down. Raw, real and a powerful piece. Wonderful.

  • Cheryl Bear: A TOUR of The Early 21st Century Reproductive System (The Way We Used to Have Babies) & Real Live Birth Experience!

Just incredible! The funniest monologue and what's funny is what makes it funny. Because our reproductive bodies are taboo subjects. It's hilarious and then the story behind the importance of it all is told. And done so brilliantly.

The humans (aka "skittles"). An all-powerful tackle of the refugee crisis. Bravo. We're there, we understand. Something that no human should ever have to learn to understand. The desensitization to keep going on. Because what else can you do. I want to see this and I want to see it everywhere.

Powerful and immersive theatre at it's finest. And to make us all aware, brava. Great piece!

  • Cheryl Bear: Different, a monologue

The box. It can be anyone. Isn't the line, "honey you put yourself in that cage?" We're so afraid of breaking the rules that we keep ourself in a cage, by accepting ourself we can live free. But this is often hard to do, we may be our own worst critic. And we're afraid perhaps of being free. And what that existence would be. Well done.

So funny! I want to see this as an opening sketch on a political satire show. It's just hilarious. So much fun and there's just so much with the theatricality of it. Hysterical!

Without their child, whom they love and built their lives around, they're forced to connect. They rediscover their love and it's beautiful. It's also flat out hilarious. A delight.

  • Cheryl Bear: EUPHORIA

Tragic and vital, may it get seen everywhere. The lives that are ripped apart from legal prescriptions, minor injuries that are made oh so much worse. The torment, the moments of escape from the spiral that aren't made, it's so clear here. And we are in crisis, so needed. Terrific piece of theatre.
