  • Cheryl Bear: The In-Between

A thriller at its best. We're captivated from start to finish so much so that I'd be hanging on to it for dear life even if there wasn't the silver lining bonus of learning about a culture and it's integral to the plot. It also conquers so many stereotypes and prejudices. It's a gift to a middle easterner when you read a play involving your culture that is this good. Produce this! It's absolutely brilliant!

  • Cheryl Bear: Pareidolia

Online dating remains one of the most dangerous landscapes for good reason, yet it has taken over. Kareem brilliantly uses this to launch into a romantic comedy thriller that completely captures us. Grips us until the end!

  • Cheryl Bear: AN ECO-FABLE: SOONER THAN YOU THINK (full length)

The most devastating threat to our survival is neglecting the environment. We deliberately refuse to educate ourselves for fear it'll impede our short sighted goals. And the result will be a barren wasteland with nothing to eat. How do we get people to listen and especially those who are our future? We turn to the maestro playwright Robin Rice. If anyone can save our planet with a pen, she can. This play is so alive and engaging, a fairy tale to save our planet and a brilliant one at that! Bravo!

  • Cheryl Bear: HARMONY'S AUDITION (full length)

Freedom is at the core of any artist's survival. It doesn't mean we can't love or have families, but we're terrified of ending up in a cage. As if one has to choose, conformity or living one's passion. The pressures of conformity are always there as is the prejudice against working mothers, regardless of your profession. Women deserve to live their best life and contributing to the continuation of our species shouldn't result in resentment due to crushing their hopes, dreams and ambitions. It isn't good for anyone. Well done!

  • Cheryl Bear: MARGIE DITCHES THE EXPANDABLE PIG (The Breast Play) (full length)

A beautiful piece of work. Trauma has a lasting consequences, in this case a young girl has a sheer contempt for herself. But using magical realism, she's able to go through a journey to face it all and love herself again. The compassion for others can only come when you love yourself, it's how you see the world. Dark or light. Robin has captured this perfectly. Brilliantly written and extremely well executed! Highly recommend!

  • Cheryl Bear: MARJORY STONEMAN WAS NEVER ADORABLE (The Early Years of Marjory Stoneman Douglas) (full length)

Among the list of female world changers is Marjory Stoneman. An environmental hero who saved the Florida Everglades from extinction. The saying goes, strong women never came from easy pasts and that is certainly true. Just as remarkable as the action itself is the determination from within to execute it. An engaging drama which tells the story of a woman who should be remembered and honored for the contribution she's made to us all. Captivating and well done!

  • Cheryl Bear: SEARCHING FOR A NEW SUNRISE (full length)

Often we don't understand, because our families never talked about it. We struggle to ask for fear we'll drudge up painful memories. Such was the case of many Jews and such was the case with my family, Armenian genocide survivors. Robin has found an ingenious way to bring a metaphor to life in the present to help us understand and she manages to do it with much humor. Bravo, we needed this!

Love, six souls work together to create a better world. If we can only imagine, a world based in love and togetherness. One unit. Beautifully written, gorgeously constructed, and an all-powerful message. A+!

  • Cheryl Bear: AS YE SEW... (full length)

Riveting and Robin's use of language makes this all the more gripping. We're on the edge of our seat for this powerful play about love and familial ties. Exceptionally well done!
