Artistic Statement

Though my goals for any specific play may change for each piece and or even while working on any piece, one specific underlying truth is the life's blood running through vein that connects all my work. I want it to ring TRUE. Whatever that is...the truth of the moment, the feeling of the piece, the people, the dialogue.
I need it to feel honest and true.
This also feeds my taste in topic. Tending to tackle issues that are clouded with heightened opinions, feelings and beliefs, my hope is to break them down into pieces of truth and fact, while always leaving room for opinions and beliefs. Once my audience has found themselves at home in their belief within the world of the play, I then try to pose the dramatic question...Is that belief more important than this truth?
