Meet Alice Emerson, the spunky eighteen-year-old detective in her hometown of Drewby. She solves all the cases the police can't solve, all while making it home in time for dinner. She isn't too loved by the police force though, as when a string of robberies hit, they bring in a crime-solving brother duo from the next town over. Determined to prove herself in a world that is stacked against her, Alice takes on the robberies herself, until she uncovers a long-hidden secret that changes everything she knows.

Leopold Bloom has found himself caught in a web of sexual shame. After meeting with his wife to buy a bar of lemon soap, Bloom slips away into one of Dublin's brothels to ease his urges. He meets with his friend, Stephen Dedalus, and the two explore the dark underbelly of Dublin's fair city.
