He has only been acting for about twelve years, but in that span of a few years he has been in over 30 full-length productions, performed as a cast member in several improv troupes, and directed a few shows. Play writing was just an eventuality! He didn't attempt writing a play until he was bold enough to sign up for a 24-hour New Play Festival and put "Writer" as one of the things he'd be willing to do...and that's what he got selected to do (FYI -- that play is called "I Spy" and is available to read here on NPX!). Randy has written approximately 30 short plays and completed his first full-length play, INSIDE MAN, in 2021. He has won a few awards for his short plays, and he continues to hone his writing skills. Randy was nominated for the 2021 "Broadway World Off-Broadway Awards" for "Best Actor in a Streaming Play" for his performance as "Chuck" in Steven Hayet's play "Everlasting Chocolate Therapy".

After serving 12 years for a DUI that resulted in manslaughter, 32 year-old Nick Wells is being released from prison. As Nick leaves behind years of incarceration and his cellmate Trent, he returns home to his parents Fox and Carol. However, Fox makes it clear that there are no free rides, so Nick is forced to quickly find a job. A quickly budding romance forms between Nick and Tina and together they come up with a plan for Nick to find employment while also trying to figure out what the future may hold for them as a couple. Inside Man is one man’s journey to find redemption, himself, and love outside of prison walls.
