Leah has always carefully controlled how the world sees her: an engineering prodigy; a fearless explorer of terrestrial and astral planes; a woman. But after her carefully constructed facade is shattered by one teeny, tiny mishap, she's hoisted off to a midwestern rehab while her unique personality is broken down into far less interesting labels; eating disorder, body dysmorphia, narcissistic personality disorder, and bipolar. Released after six months, Leah needs a chaperone for the long drive back to New York. Enter Sophie, her childhood best friend and current starving artist who's more than happy for a free trip. Trouble starts when the estranged best friends get reacquainted - with who they once were vs who they are now. But without the other, neither can become who she really wants to be.
