Shara's plays have been developed by Northwestern University's Department of Theatre, G45 Productions, Williamstown Theatre Festival’s Professional Training Program, The 24 Hour Plays, Rule of 7x7 at The Tank, Wyrd Sisters Productions, The Sewanee Writers' Conference (2019 Romulus Linney Scholar), Barn Arts, The Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival (two-time Top 30 Playwright, 2020 Winner), Pipeline Theatre Company, and Geva Theatre Center.

Shara's play little lives was a 2019 finalist for National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center and her play Ties received the 2017 Northwestern University Agnes Nixon Award. Shara was a 2020 BRIO Award Recipient from the Bronx Council on the Arts. BA: Northwestern University.
