  • Andrew Rincon: Then They Forgot About The Rest

I saw a production of this play at INTAR, and it's stayed with me ever since. Escobar wrote an incredible epic play, that scratches at my mind, heart and soul. Powerful, smart, filled with fierce Queer womyn and characters that feel real as hell. Her world building is unparalleled.

  • Andrew Rincon: The Venetians

Barbot created a clever, smart, funny, and powerful piece of theatre that turns the idea of what an "adaption" can/must be on it's head. His dialogue moves like bullets, yet the big questions he is grappling with in this play never seem to be too much or too heady. He makes us examine with humor (and fear) the consequences of misrepresenting the marginalized, and not allowing those people to tell their own stories. This play is fire!
