  • Jared Reynolds: SKATEBOARDS AND BLUEBERRY PANCAKES

I have the honor of having a short play produced alongside this show and let me tell you, this script is just delightful! From reflecting on a live full of fun and adventure to coming to grips with the present, this show is a fun example on how it's never too late to live life to the fullest. It can be inspiring to all audiences, young and old.

  • Jared Reynolds: Right as Rain (Full Length)

Some plays explode like bottle rockets, while others are a slow burn, like candles. "Right as Rain" is a slow burn in all of the best ways. It takes the time to introduce the audience to Hank, Buster, and Marjorie through a montage of heartfelt scenes through the years, and without even knowing it, you seamlessly find yourself in the thick of the story. You watch these characters live their lives on the stage, scene by scene, and watch how they grow, evolve, and cope with life's challenges through the simple act of fishing. A beautiful show.

  • Jared Reynolds: A THOUGHT

The craft of writing dialogue can often be overlooked and yet, in some ways, how people speak to each other is more important than what they actually say. Smith's use of short, quick sentences at the start sets up this chance meeting between strangers as awkward, polite conversation, but as the conversation continues and the characters learn more about each other, their sentences become longer and more complex. All of this beautifully builds to a crescendo that reminds us that some secrets are fun to keep.

  • Jared Reynolds: "Flurry" by Asshole in the Audience

While heckling in the theater is generally frowned upon, heckling that's in the script is just audience participation, which makes it okay... Right?
Reading this reminded me a lot of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" or Statler and Waldorf, just... A lot more personal.

  • Jared Reynolds: Indulgence

I was proud to have had a premiere alongside this powerful piece. The lack of verbal language only heightens the physical language as this piece explores addiction and its impacts not only on the addict, but those around them.
