Catch/Release explores a raft of themes – teenage indiscretion, bigotry, generational relationships, and societal norms in the (fictional?) backwater community of Sky, Minnesota. On the surface, Jayne desires a simple, uncomplicated life, but as the play unfolds, multiple dimensions of the protagonist are revealed. He’s an interesting character, made more so by Margot, his equally interesting 14-year-old foil. This is a thought-provoking and briskly paced play. Well done!
