Meghan McGuire is a Chicago-based comedian, writer, and former Geography Bee champion from Brunswick, Maine, the home of little-known Civil War hero Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. She studied theatre and creative writing at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. At Denison, she wrote for the Independent Theatre Association’s One Acts Play Festivals, Sketch’rs Sketch Comedy Troupe, and the Genital Monologues, an activist show. In the summer of 2016, she spent 10-weeks as a summer research scholar at Denison, where she wrote a collection of monologues for women under the guidance of playwrights Mark Evans Bryan and Peter Pauzé.
