But no mate has been forthcoming! Fed up, she leaps off her leaf to the forest floor below. On her journey she meets many creatures of the forest (a lonely cricket, a mooning moth, a skunk with a kooky streak, frat-boy cicadas, and an Eagles-quoting eagle among others), and along the way learns that maybe mating isn't the only way to have a great life adventure. A one act for adults with a children's theater aesthetic.

This is a hilarious short play with a complete and satisfying arc. And I can personally attest it is fun to perform in front of an audience: lots of laughter!
  • THE MESQUITE TREE, an American Tragedy

A beautiful, heart-breaking play about mothers and daughters trying to break free of the cycle of poverty. Gorgeous moments witnessing the dance of the characters' inner lives, sweet and funny moments of mothers teaching rich food traditions to their daughters, and the sadness of the reality of poverty in America. I cannot recommend this play highly enough.

Hilarious & heartbreaking in equal measure. Definitely DARK, but not without hope! It was an honor to get to play Jennie Claire in two different readings. I could see how much fun it would be as an actor to get to delve into these complex, fun, juicy roles!
