The irony of a life-changing paternity reveal at a father/daughter dance sets the inciting incident, and it's all a tension-packed story with high stakes from there! The central character, Loie, rises above a typical teenage emotional response of anger and extends an olive branch to a pathway of healing to the man she had always believed to be her dad. A well-structured play, beautifully written.

Deray sets up a beautiful backstory and we love this father right from the start to the finish of this moving monologue. The wonderful imagery, and the unconditional love and acceptance is a piece of writing that lights our world "brightly".

A powerful mother/son play that takes us through the faultlines of love, loss and family secrets. The tension between these well-drawn characters simmers just below the surface, and we feel it with each new twist and a wonderful finale! I would love to see this smart play performed! .

Goldman-Sherman so skillfully examines the equations of a woman's role in both her character's micro and macro world and delivers a though provoking and eloquent voice that captivates. What a wonderful, rich performance piece!

When I read FANNY BRICE, I felt like it was 1927 and I was sitting right there in Fanny's parlour, hanging on her every word! What a fine history-based piece of writing! i was so engaged in the story. Would love to see this monologue expanded into a full length play!

It is 1939 and WW II has changed the world. A powerful reflection by a young girl about to leave Paris and her young love behind and her youthful dreams and questions, unanswered. A beautiful, poignant piece of dramatic writing and a terrific performance piece for a teen!

A wonderful, quirky sci-fi Christmas short - great dialogue, plenty of plot twists and a satisfying resolution would make this a purr-fect fit for any holiday shorts festival!

A comedic Christmas play for our times! Herold's characters are well-crafted, the pacing is perfect, and there are enough twists and turns to take you to a great resolution! But there's more. AN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS weaves social relevance through the storyline and we love it!
