  • Jack Levine: THAT KIND OF BOY [A 1-MINUTE PLAY]

STEVEN G. MARTIN'S one-minute play, "That Kind of Boy", is a wonderful way of exposing the quick-to-judge assumptions we can erroneously make. I smiled when the 'twist' came, because it's just the type of play I would love a lot of people, young and old, to read or see performed. BRAVO, Mr. Martin!

  • Jack Levine: Hell Job

I have been in many job interviews, some as the hiring person and some as the interviewee. I thought I had ‘seen it all’. Well, so much for that assumption. JACQUELYN FLOYD-PRISKORN has imaged one of the most interesting interviews. The title of ‘HELL JOB’ tells you a lot. I love the witty dialogue. Bravo to a fun play.

  • Jack Levine: Favorite Son

PHILIP MIDDLETON WILLIAMS’ play, ‘FAVORITE SON’, is a play of sibling rivalry and father-sons relationships. When their father is on his deathbed, two brothers talk about what they need to do to settle their father’s affairs. But the undercurrents of who is the favorite and past hurts and anxieties are revealed. In this short play, the genius and fine writing of Philip Middleton Williams is on display. This is a must read.

  • Jack Levine: Hello?

Fasten your seatbelt. Keep your phone nearby to call for help. Say you don’t believe in ghosts. Count to one hundred to get calm. It won’t help! JACQUELYN FLOYD-PRISKORN has written a great play for this time of the year - or anytime you fancy a good ghost story. A very enjoyable short play!

  • Jack Levine: Long Lost Friend

I highly recommend LONG LOST FRIEND by Chelsea Frandsen. A man finds himself in a grave situation, by himself in pain and under a fallen tree. There is no way for him to get out of the woods on his own. Then a friend comes along, out of nowhere, to provide comfort and more. This is a warm-hearted play with a twist. I look forward to seeing this play performed on a stage. It is entertaining.

  • Jack Levine: Do You Get It

PHILIP MIDDLETON WILLIAMS has captured the heartfelt despair, incredible fears, and true love of a mother of a soldier, who is fighting in a foreign land for his country. This monologue remains me of the sadness and worry my mother felt during my tour of duty in Korea. So many sacrifices, so much heartache, so much to worry about - a mother’s strong feelings are so strongly portrayed in this moving monologue. Nice work!

  • Jack Levine: Something True

DAVID BEARDSLEY raises the stakes of a serious relationship in an unexpected way. Can there be love without truth? Can there be love at first sight? Truth is necessary to build a sound relationship. But will the truth be told, and if so, what is the truth? The play is an interesting look at love, relationships, and truth.

  • Jack Levine: This Is Bull

JEFF DUNNE’s THIS IS BULL is a witty take on prejudice and discrimination. Who would have thought left-handed people couldn’t write? Well, a certain Interviewer does until . . . you will discover in a play of witty dialogue. BRAVO!

  • Jack Levine: The Shelf

JEANNE JOHNSTON has written a wonderful play. A seemingly simple request to her boyfriend for a small shelf reveals an underlying issue. You will thoroughly enjoy this romantic comedy.
