  • Jessica Moss: Bug Juice and Stoli

Come on, a play set at a summer camp is a really fun idea, and what better place to wrestle with the person you once were, the person you dreamed you'd be, and the person you ended up being? A wacky premise allows for lots of emotional honesty. It's exciting to read a play that offers lots of roles for women of all ages and types. And as a Canadian, always a thrill to see a shout-out to Moose Jaw, even in a fictionalized form.

  • Jessica Moss: PHOEBE (GOES BONKERS NEAR THE EDGE OF THE GRAND CANYON): A SUMMER VACATION MONOLOGUE

I love Phoebe. I would watch a full-length play with this character. This would be so fun to perform.

Yes to all the other recommendations here - this is a lovely, moving piece that shows lots of compassion and grace to all the characters. Some wonderful roles for actresses!

  • Jessica Moss: The Cages We Build

Sweet and sensitive - I think high school audiences would love seeing this and having a chance to perform some of these realistic characters.

  • Jessica Moss: Kill the Editor

Loved the dialogue in this fast-paced play, and the ideas and themes surrounding what it means to be an editor, to be able to edit any story, including the one you live in. Sharp and quick and of the moment.

  • Jessica Moss: The Holes in Human Flesh

Intricate, sensitive dialogue and two wonderful roles for young women. I loved this at the Sam French OOB Festival!

  • Jessica Moss: The Worst Mother in the World

This play brings up so many themes that I care about - motherhood, depression, anxiety, loneliness. Funny and sad and very honest at the same time, and WOMEN JUST TALKING TO WOMEN - my favourite thing!

  • Jessica Moss: Alond(R)a

This play feels like the hot, sticky, dream-like heat of when summer gets overwhelming....it creates an atmosphere and a world for these lovely characters to inhabit so vividly, which they do, with rich and lyrical and dirty language. I think this is such an exciting play.

Lyrical, beautiful, melancholy, theatrical, funny and sad at the same time...I loved this piece so much and it's everything theatre should be.
