Emily Worrell (she/her) is an Indianapolis-based playwright whose work has been published and produced across the country in cities like New York, L.A., Chicago, and Indianapolis.
Worrell was selected as one of three emerging regional playwrights for IU’s At First Sight New Works Festival in 2025. She also had the pleasure of participating in IF Theatre’s 2024 Div(x)fest Fellowship, in which she and a group of four other women and nonbinary theatremakers crafted a play for the Indianapolis Fringe Festival. She was also the recipient of a seven-day Deep Winter Writing Residency at The Hundredth Hill Artist Residency in 2024.
