Sache (Steven) J. Satta holds a BFA in Acting (NYU Tisch), an MFA in Acting (York University, Toronto, ON). They are a full professor in the Dept. of Theatre at Towson University, and currently serve as Director of the MFA program. They belong to the Dramatist’s Guild, the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) and have been a member of AEA. They have been involved in LGBTQ+ theatre throughout their career, working at Meridien Gay Theatre Company, The Ridiculous Theatrical Company, and for Sean Strub Productions on The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me in NYC. They co-founded Iron Crow Theatre Company - the first queer theatre in Baltimore - and served as Artistic Director until 2015.

At Iron Crow Steve conceived and produced : an evening of new queer works inspired by Edgar Allan Poe, which included Steve’s one-act Grieving and Sequins, alongside one-acts by Daniel Talbott, Rich Espey, and Megan Gogerty. Under Steve’s Artistic Directorship, Iron Crow fostered new full-length queer works Bareback Ink by Bob Bartlett, The Revelation of Bobby Pritchard by Rich Espey, Bad Panda by Megan Gogerty, Apartment 213 by Joseph Ritsch, and a revised version of Slipping by Daniel Talbott.
Recently his 10 minute play Lily, Arthur was selected for Rapid Lemon Productions’ 2022 festival of 10 minute plays. The full-length version of Lily, Arthur has been short-listed for Maryland Ensemble Theatre’s 2023-2024 season. His short play "Hooked" will be feature at Theatre Workshop of Owensboro's Summer Shorts Festival 2023
