Taylor Wendell Lozano is a playwright / composer based in Bakersfield, CA. Taylor holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Cal Poly SLO and recently completed an MFA in Musical Theater Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Cycle 34. He is also the co-founder and original Artistic Director of the Fourth Wall Theatre Co., started in Sacramento, California in June of 2016. While devising the company's season, he also operated as the head writer of the Fourth Wall Sketch Comedy Series from 2016 to 2020. In 2023, Taylor was a semi-finalist at KCATCF Region VIII 10 minute playwriting competition for his one act, "Horizons." This same play went on to be featured in the 1st issue of Intertidal Magazine. His short play, "Prime Directive" was featured in the Secret Theatre One Act Festival in February 2023 in Queens, NY, then, the Cal Poly One Act Festival in May of 2023. In 2024, his one act, "Turing Syndrome," was performed at Bakersfield Community Theatre in July, followed by his one act musical, "The Giant Child," at Frigid Theatre NYC in October. Selections from Taylor’s original score for "Humanity the Musical", with books and lyrics written with Chenyue Hu, were featured at the Cutting Room in Manhattan, New York in May 2025. In August 2025, "Andy, the Creator" had a workshopped performance at the Empty Space Theatre in August of 2025. His original album, "Lets Be Human" can be found on Spotify and Apple Music.
