Ipsley Campbell is food TV royalty. She and her husband live in a beautiful house in the Hamptons where Ipsley filmed a popular cooking show. In a play for relevancy, Ipsley accepts an invitation from a young content creator to collaborate on a Labor Day Weekend party. What follows is an exploration of generational differences on social media, and how the way we talk about food is often a stand-in for the way we talk about love.

When he considers taking a job that will move him halfway across the country, this comes as a shock to his girlfriend, Eliza. Told largely through both characters' conversations with a therapist, The Laundry Play paints a portrait of a relationship on the verge of either connection or collapse, and the emotional landscape of intimacy with clinical anxiety.
