A plate breaks and the evening goes completely wrong. Nevertheless, everyone tries to keep up appearances and almost succeeds, if it weren't for the flatmate, who finds out that she has been cheated out of the rent for years. Her revenge finally blows up the dinner party.
The next morning, Melanie and her boyfriend Martin try to pick up the pieces, but further developments and revelations force them to line up again. Maybe even the ghosts of the past need to be awakened, in order to manage the future.
