Playing on the Periphery is more than a captivating character study of four adorably quirky kids, it is a love letter to queer kids everywhere. Scott Sickles has crafted a fab foursome who are brave, funny, fierce, and learning to navigate their world with honesty, kindness and acceptance. I shed many happy tears after reading it and hope to see it live in its entirety someday. Bravo, Mr. Sickles. I am a forever fan.

I adored this smile-inducing short that explores modern dating, our attachments to our devices, post break-up upgrades, and the ones who got away. Here's hoping Melanie, Andrew, and their smartphones all get their happy ending.*

A timeless piece about what we do with the time we have left. Kokoro and Gray's budding romance gave me all the feels. From the opening monologue to the final tableau, I could not. stop. smiling. Magical, sweet, and so full of heart.

With great brilliance and laugh out loud one-liners, Jenna Jane explores what happens when princes and mermaids stop being polite, and start getting real. I want her to deconstruct every Disney prince/princess pairing, right now.

As a woman who lost her mother at a young age, I felt like this play was written for me. Gown unfolds like a beautiful bridal bouquet, breaking my heart and putting it back together again in the span of a few pages. I had the privilege and pleasure of seeing Gown live, and it has stayed with me long after the curtain closed - a testament to Robert Weibezahl's masterful writing. What a gift this was to Lynn and Annie. What a gift it was to me.*

It’s only Memorial Day, yet the ad execs are already strategizing ways to get us to break our budgets on Christmas, a mere six+ months away. I so enjoyed this short holiday themed satire at M1A-Miami One-Acts. ‘Tis the season for overspending, fa la la la la, la la la la.*

Being in a new home for the holidays is tough. Aside from all of the cool, tropical diversions Miami has to offer, Dorie is still homesick for her family up North and the traditional holidays she's grown attached to. Hubby Dan may not be able to give her the White Christmas she's yearning for, but it's hella fun watching him try. This is the perfect short and sweet rom-com to feature in any play festival, during the holidays and beyond.

This play had me on page one. Jenna Jane has crafted a beyond compelling, futuristic tale that explores society, mortality, transcendence and the choices we make to find/fully realize our authentic selves.
So riveting. So absorbing. So well done.

This play brought me right back to my childhood bedroom, being urged by my mom to have something to "fall back on." Arianna Rose packs a lot into these 3 pages, giving this sweet mom/daughter duo the chance to connect and celebrate finding their happy. So warm, so well done.

I adored and laughed out loud at this 10-minute gem that explores what great lengths a person will go to in order to give their partner a healthy dose of constructive criticism. Favorite line - "It's super twisty."*
