Rainah Gregory (she/her) is a writer, director, performer, (and dog mom!) currently based in Virginia. She is a recent graduate from the University of Virginia with a BA in Drama and a minor in American Sign Language & Deaf Culture. Rainah Gregory (she/her) is a writer, director, performer, (and dog mom!) currently based in Virginia. She is a recent graduate from the University of Virginia with a BA in Drama and a minor in American Sign Language & Deaf Culture. Growing up in England, to American parents, she was raised on a lot of West End theater and finds herself pulling from both American and British experiences in her creative work. Before attending UVA she completed the Integrated Program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York (‘17).

She was named the National SDC Directing Fellow during the National Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) in Spring ‘21. She was later accepted into and completed a two-week directing intensive through Yale Summer Session during the summer of ‘21. In 2022 she was a regional finalist for the KCACTF Ten Minute Play Festival with her short play Bake for Life which was produced simultaneously at the University of Virginia for their New Works Festival. She received the The 2022 William Demoville Pettway Prize for extraordinary service University of Virginia Department of Drama. She is a proud associate member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers (SDC).

    What does devised mean in the creation of this piece? As a group we discussed and journaled different topics surrounding Ismene, Femininity, Feminine Storytelling, Grief, Loss, Regret, etc. Based off of these conversations and journal entries I wrote the script. As a group we decided on edits.
