Munroe (all pronouns) is a playwright, essayist, and lifelong New Englander born and raised in northern Vermont, currently based in Boston, MA. His work centers his evolving queer identity and rural heritage to explore introspective themes of regret, family, and loss, and to uncover intimate truths about human communion. Synopsis

Haunted by the ghost of her murdered cousin and the weight of a life lived in front of the world, Queen Elizabeth I of England is forced to confront the many regrets of her long and celebrated reign when a revolutionary pamphlet (supposedly) written by Shakespeare contemporary Christopher Marlowe shakes her kingdom and her self-image to the core.
