  • Kathleen Maule Holen: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION: a Very Short Play About Children and Guns

And a little child shall lead. Very poignant messages from the point of view of the child victims of gun violence. The adults can stop it, but the adults won't until it affects them directly. The play shines a light on a sorry state of affairs.

  • Kathleen Maule Holen: Stage Door Blues (17 minutes)

I listened to this well written and engaging play on Theatrical Shenanigans. The actors made it so real I could feel the cold November night. Harris has created a comic yet realistic scenario that lures the audience to become a participant in the protagonist's conspiracy of silence. The plot twist is gently funny and thought provoking.

  • Kathleen Maule Holen: 10 Minutes Till Curtain

Wow! I felt the anger, the grief the sadness of an unfulfilled life. This play is one you talk about in the car all the way home. It will challenge actors to convey it's powerful message.

  • Kathleen Maule Holen: Betrayal

A frightening story with a haunting ending that will have audiences debating all the way home. This play will challenge any actor to develop their character so that it leaves the audience in suspence. A well written, engaging and mysterious script.

  • Kathleen Maule Holen: Submission Opportunities

I feel the pain. I'm certain everyone on earth is writing plays and producers are trying desperately to narrow the selection process. Cole has hit the nail on the head. The last line underlines the playwright's desperation. Conversely, the play is a tribute to the playwright who writes for the love of the creative process. Certainly,a performance in the classroom would elicit discussion among budding writers.

  • Kathleen Maule Holen: Party of Two

What at first felt awkward turned contemplative as the mystery unfolded. The metaphore was a surprise. Countries have feelings too. The double entendre of the title is fantastic. This short play is timely and sends a clear message.

  • Kathleen Maule Holen: Beautiful Noises

A beautiful and inspiring message for everyone experiencing the anguish of grief. Wonderful dialog delivers support and hope even when regrets seem overpowering. The beautiful noises come through loud and clear. I recommend it.

  • Kathleen Maule Holen: QUEASY

Hilarious premise and for me, as a retired nurse, eyeopening. Nice touch having the patient call the HIPPA Regs,"Hippo". I loved all the characters the nurse took on hoping in my heart I never was one! I agree with John Busser that Jacquie would relish this play but my friend Irene Would give her a run for her money. Fantastic characters.

  • Kathleen Maule Holen: A Sure Bet or Marryin' a Librarian

This classic melodrama with an impressive production history, covers all the bases with clever character names, corny humor and a plot where good triumphs in the end. Audience participation is elicited in every scene. The script encourages the cast to put their best slapstick forward.

  • Kathleen Maule Holen: Ghosts of Whitechapel: The Zoom play

I watched the zoom performance of this fantastically crafted play and could only say to myself, "I wish I had written this!" It is a moving and thought provoking commentary on the hardships faced by women in the 19th and early 20th centuries that deepens our understanding and compassion for the victims of an infamous serial killer. Can you name him? Can you name even one of his victims?
