This play is a delight! Funny, tender, and hopeful with such great theatrical possibilities to play with for the creative team.
  • When Colossus Falls

A beautiful play about getting trapped in the comfort and pain of the past and about searching for a way out or a way forward. The relationships here are well-drawn and heartbreaking; the mystery that draws a guest into the world of the Riverview B&B, compelling and poetic.

A play about finding oneself stuck, STALLED moves with great dynamism and ease, taking the audience on a well-crafted and poignant journey through the protagonist's life, where we recognize the pain, humor, and tenderness that are all a part of growing up, falling in love, and realizing our life may not be what we had once hoped for. The car becomes its own character, enacted by the actors, which makes STALLED a truly theatrical experience and one that is sure to engage and delight audiences.

Full of quirky, memorable characters and hilarious dialogue, Space Girl takes us on a heartfelt journey about figuring out who you are and how you do or don't fit in. Mora began working on this at Carnegie Mellon University, and it is absolutely one of the plays that most stuck with me from my time in the program. It was always a delight to read, and I can't wait to see a staged production.
  • Plastic Nest

It's been a delight to watch Plastic Nest grow from the early drafts I read in grad school to the latest version, most recently workshopped at the HBMG Foundation Winter Playwright's Retreat. Following two couples, one human and the other bird, Plastic Nest paints a picture of romantic relationships that is painfully familiar. As we watch the characters struggle to build their homes amidst upset expectations and strained communication, we see the quiet devastation of the honeymoon period's wane. The human dialogue feels all too true, and the birds offer a quirky take on love and commitment.
