Just saw this at the Great Plains Theatre Conference. I am so grateful Alexandra wrote this play because it's brave. I say brave because there is so much that's been taught regarding the history and it's been somewhat a lie. Especially regarding Black history. I really loved the moments that it's an all-black cast, talking about universal themes. The moment Homer comes to life I was invested all the way through. And also found out Alexandra created the language that's in the play, just wow! Great work, Alexandra!

Saw this play at The Great Plains Theatre Conference. I was invested from page one. Ryan really knows how to create two vital characters and put them in a quirky but fun situation. I was immediately drawn into the story and made me love a genre that I thought I wouldn't care for. Great work, Ryan!

Very beautiful and poetic. Loved every minute of it reading it. I've become a huge fan of Charly Evon Simpson.

Very funny and interesting. I love the two black boys characters as they realize the implications behind their actions and still press forward.

Haunting and vivacious play that could be a tool on the lessons of rape culture and assault. Also, it is a great play for men to read as well.
