  • The Lacemaker
    After a tragic death, friends must find ways to process their grief as they discover the necessities involved in the aftermath of tragedy. Weaving her silent way among them, the deceased friend finds the pathway to release.
  • Patriots and Heroes
    A pair of undocumented migrant works witness a terrorist attack on a government building near the border between their country (un-named) and the fictional Kailasa. They stop below an overpass to take stock, and one runs to donate items to the first responders in the confusion. Hiding also under the overpass is a wounded man who turns out to be one of the terrorists, a xenophobic group that hates immigrants.
  • Marginea
    A small town in far western Romania has a problem -- their only bridge has been washed away, and the very new democratic government is up to its eyeballs in red tape and bureaucracy. Their solution -- to build their own bridge using local craftsmen and sources -- seems like a good idea until an officious government inspector shows up. How far will the mayor and the townspeople go in order to keep themselves out of prison?
  • The Bridge
    During a clash between a small squad sent to demolish a strategically vulnerable bridge and a group of refugees, tempers flare as the invading army closes in on them.

A peasant seeks a refuge, and a miller's widow seeks freedom from retribution from her neighbors. Somewhere between safety and liberty, the saintly Brother Arcadius does his best to succor them.

    on a nameless battlefield, the representatives of various life influences -- duty, honor, family, glory, friendship, and fate -- vie with each other to possess the life force of a dead drummer boy.
