A fabulously multi-layered and well thought out science fiction full length that delves into AI, space-travel, humanities tendency towards destruction, and planetary ecology to explore an intriguing range of topics spanning from the intrapersonal to the inter-galactic. But in the end the question we are really being asked to answer is “what does it mean to be an individual”? This is brainfood for the stage and I challenge any forward thinking producing organization to take it on. You won’t regret it.

Do you think it’s easy being the evil mastermind behind the helm of an international criminal organization? Well as Mr Diabolicus (and the audience) learn in John Busser’s “Dr Wu Has Been Eliminated”, it’s not always fun and games - especially when you have a pair of henchmen like Henderson and Warcheski. A perfect mix of sidesplitting buffoonery and creative wordplay that will keep the laughing from lights up to fade out.

This delightful family dramedy feature three generations of one family trying to bridge a communications gap in order to plan an anniversary party. Generational values and priorities come to the fore as the characters seek to negotiate a fete that the givers long to give far more than the recipients wish to receive. A great opportunity for a team of multigenerational actors spanning from Alpha to the Silent to strut their stuff.

You ever have one of those days? You know, the kind where you lose track of your travelling partner and get trapped in a bizarre slaughterhouse dimension, only to be tormented by your split entity best friend/worst enemy and pursued by an ever hungry, yet painfully slow all-consuming demon? Well, Iggy is having one of those days - and it is incredible to witness. A marvelously theatrical, absurdist, and enthralling fever dream of a play.

Prof. O’Donnell is an important man, a renown scholar in game theory and holder of the Weston Chair of Mathematics - and he will be the first one to inform you of this. When student assistant Serena Overhoff arrives at his office door to retrieve a book that he absconded from the library with, the two engage in a battle of wile and wits to see which of will end up in possession of “Principles of Logic”. An astutely crafted and sublimely clever short play.

In Gnat Frye’s “failures in girlyear”, traditional narrative takes second seat to mood, tone, and multi-faceted dysfunctional relationship. When demi-internet-celeb puke girl (so named from the viral YouTube video she found herself featured in) returns to her collegiate stomping grounds, she is quickly absorbed into a community of comrade damaged souls (rabies girl, tape girl, job girl, etc.). But has she gotten there just in time to watch the lot of them self-destruct, or can she find a way to rescue even the most lost of them? Frye’s authorial voice is absolutely unique and always enthralling.

Divorce can be tough. Especially when she takes the cat. So what’s any self-respecting, sci fi loving, recently heartbroken fellow to do? Rent out a black box theatre and slay the heartless cat-stealer in front of a roaring audience of tens. But sometimes even the best planned “Space Spectaculars” can go awry. And when this one does, it is an absolute joy to be able to bear witness to it. The pain of emotional breakup and loss has never been so much fun.

Camdenburg, IN is a town with an interesting history. And to acknowledge that history, Mayor Simkins (with the help of his earnest assistant and her oddball nephew) is about to reveal the contents of the towns 100-year time capsule to celebrate the town’s bicentennial. But what they find may change their hometown (and the world?) forever. This darkly funny, 10-minute science fiction comedy is a definite crowd pleaser.

Kyle and Brianna are young and in love. He, with her beauty. She, with his money. But hey, I am sure totally healthy and long lasting relationships have been built on much less than that, right? As they wait at the airport on their way to elope, they discuss their plans for their honeymoon (and beyond) and learn that they have more in common than either of them thought. A darkly funny ten minute play.

Backstage on opening night can be a zoo. Especially when your leading man is running late and your young ingenue develops an acute case of stage fright. But as all astute theatre professionals will confirm, the real heroes of the stage are not those standing beneath the lights; but the ones in back, dressed in black. If you are searching for a large cast, ensemble based comedy that is sure to delight theater goers of all ages, “In the Green Room” has everything you’re looking for.
