  • C.C. Gallagher: A Steamboat Willie Gravestone

Gibbs manages to explore both the depths of grief and the senseless evil of mega-corporations in this sharp, edgy piece. I’d love to see it staged!

Constantly engaging, expertly paced, effective as hell, and funny to boot. I’m still reeling from this one!

  • C.C. Gallagher: The H Twins

Insanely weird in the best way possible, this show is a journey I don't think anyone could forget. It kept me in an impeccable balance between laughing out loud (just reading it to myself!) and cringing at the horrible irony of the Twins' blindness to their situation. Not only does it set a darkly optimistic challenge to the audience to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE WORLD, but it does so in a humorous yet deeply important way. An excellent show for an audience that cannot yet see how history repeats.

I saw this play's first staged reading and I was blown away. The power of this script is in its characters and its religious themes, and I was left shaken, amused, and devastated. I can honestly say I was on the edge of my seat for much of the show wondering what could possibly happen next, and somehow it just kept on surprising me with every twist! A fantastic play - as a character piece, as horror, and as a work of art.

I had the privilege of seeing this hilarious little play in a live reading at the KCACTF Region II Festival this past week and I cannot emphasize enough the promise of this script. I am excited to dive through the rest of Goz's works and commend her handling of the taboo in the charmingly bizarre premise of this script
