Hello! My name is Regina, and I am a playwright from Martell, Nebraska, which is technically a village (as defined legally by Nebraska) because it has a population of 125. 124 since my sister moved out, which means that it meets the minimum requirement of 100 people to be a village. Which technically makes me a villager. That's not particularly relevant, but I enjoy the fact of it nonetheless. I've lived all my life on a farm with my horses, chickens, ducks, and my sweet little dog, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Teddi Rose (on account of her glorious mustache). I write about nature and the complex relationship that we have with it, and I also write about immigration and LGBTQ+ issues. Those topics are very near and dear to my heart. I write about nature and the complex relationship that we have with it, and I also write about immigration and LGBTQ+ issues. Those topics are very near and dear to my heart. I suppose it's rather difficult to find a queer, second-generation immigrant in a town (village) of 125 people, but we've all got to break the mold somehow, don't we?

I currently attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for Theatre and German, which is where I discovered you can actually write and be successful. Since starting playwriting, I've had work performed in my home state of Nebraska by my university’s student-run organization, UNL’s Theatrix, and Angel's Theater Company (Lincoln's premiere theatre for new work) and I've enjoyed travelling to see my other various works performed in places such as New York City, Florida, and Texas. Ask me about those trips sometime; all three of them were interesting in their own way.
