Wow this was a tough read...but in a good way. This conversation needs to be had. The play really put into perspective how non-black and white these situations are. What a scary world we live in.

This piece touches on issues that need to be talked about. The social dilemma that our characters find themselves in is so compelling and leaves so much space for discussion. I'm glad that this is a conversation that is being started. Especially with everything that is happening in this country.

This is a very important discussion to have. Especially at a time when this kind of event has happened recently.

This is very powerful and really compelling. In a time where this is sadly a common thing to happen, it's good to have these kinds of conversations. And I'm glad John Minigan started it.

This piece was so powerful, compelling, and really struck a major chord with me. I see and can understand both arguments from the characters, but am heartbroken over how one's duty to protecting and saving a child physically and emotionally even during a drill was being reprimanded. It goes to show the society we live in and how prevalent those situations are where teachers are continuing to put themselves on the line for the sake of children. It was beautifully written to show the complexity of this reoccurring issue

Love the deontology and the dynamic relationship between the two faculty members

I loved this piece! I remember having an intense fear of being out and about during an active shooter situation because it happened to me during a drill. It also hits hard because my brother is a middle school theatre teacher and I couldn't bare to lose him. But I know he would feel horrible if a student got hurt instead of him. It brings up conflicting emotions, which I'm sure was the intent.

Having worked many years as a substitute teacher, I have been in the classroom during drills and once even during an actual lockdown, as well as being placed on front door duty many times (and having second-guessed a decision or two) – the ethical and moral debate between the protagonists feels very real; very much the sort of "what-if" one ponders at the end of a bad day.

Such a great play! Subtle but intense with a powerful message. Bravo!
