With his sister Laura living in Shanghai, and Richard soon to become a first time father with his partner, he is less than thrilled at the prospect of housing his–to put it mildly–difficult father. Accusations begin to fly and defenses are drawn, spiraling father and son, brother and sister, and spouses into a heated game of finger pointing with unintended consequences. A moving story of a family learning to deal and connect in a new paradigm as circumstances force a lot of honest confrontations about relationships and desires. Well done.

I feel so lucky (maybe even the luckiest?) to have caught this play when it was at Curious. Meridith's deep exploration of character is so incredibly moving. The play left me wishing work like this was getting produced more often in our theaters.

I really enjoyed this play. It is interesting and meaningful but still funny. The characters feel real and honest and I remained engaged from beginning to end!
