Donna Hoke's sass, wit, brilliant writing, and uniquely engaging characters take us on a mythical journey which is as outrageous as most mythical journeys. I heard it read on Zoom and longed to be sitting in a live audience to share my roll out of ongoing belly laughs. This is a great comedy that, once theater's up and running again, should see countless productions. Yes. It's that good!

Two nail salon co-workers who get great enjoyment out of disliking each other are compelled by the dying wish of their dearest customer to embark on a not very well planned out celebrity hunt. Donna Hoke’s comedy is very funny, very heartfelt, and very easy to stage. Produce this play!

A great buddy-in-spite-of-themselves comedy with truly hilarious moments. Hoke's characters jump off the page and into the hearts of the reader and audience and encourage us to think about why we laugh and the importance of laughter and humor.

When Donna Hoke leans in to writing comedy, it’s always keenly balanced with moments of poignancy. In “Finding Neil Patrick Harris,” this quality is on full display. A story of seeking out your life’s purpose, and the urge to feel necessary in the universe, Cha-Cha and Katie’s antics will keep you laughing while affirming our collective need for true friendship. And... nail polish companies would be well advised to hire Hoke immediately: her unique color names undeniably add a rich flair and high gloss.

A hilarious comedy that asks age-old questions, this delightful new piece by Hoke examines expectations, existence and the need we all have to belong. Funny and fresh, this play's a wonderful escape from Covid, and Hoke's unique creative process, described in her blog, offers a terrific model for writers. I'm grateful for the laughs, and inspired to continue to build new work, even in these unprecedented times.
