  • Steven G. Martin: Suicide Hotline

A deft, dark exploration of personal power struggles and one-upmanship.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Suicide Hotline

With a title like SUICIDE HOTLINE you know you're in for a dark play, maybe with a few laughs, but what surprised me most was the heart and humanity in this piece. The ending gave me a little anxiety, but I'm confident Jim, our soon-to-be hero, finds a way.

  • Everett Robert: Suicide Hotline

One would think that a play about an unemployed middle-aged man who lives at home with his mother and accidently gets called by a suicidal man (who I might surmise is a lot more like Jim then either wants to admit) might be depressing but it is a light, heartfelt, and lively play that captures the heart, the depression, and the longing for acceptance that many men suffer from and need in their lives.

  • Lindsay Partain: Suicide Hotline

A fun spin on the: "at least I'm not *that* guy" story. Suicide Hotline is funny, witty, and makes you think twice before hanging up on all those wrong numbers that keep calling in...

  • Bryan Stubbles: Suicide Hotline

"What’s a roter phone?" Fun spin on the reverse suicide hotline play (there's a few of those on NPX). McBurnette-Andronicos paints these losers with humor and sadness. There's an interesting in-between space with funny and sad here. Cute ending. This play certainly needs more productions and "yay" for "roter" phones. Hehe.
