Recommendations of SH*T TRAIN

A funny, fast-paced, and too true slice of everyday working life. This play is a perfect addition to any night of 10 minutes or just something to act out when you can't stand your boss anymore.

It seems like every line in this fast-paced play could have been lifted verbatim from some office conversation or other. The cumulative effect is a funny and unnerving short play about the confusing nature of corporate life. I recommend it.

This steam locomotive of a play is one heck of a crazy train trip, and Carnes has handed us the ultimate ticket to ride. Whether you identify with the alpha wolf (please no) or the hapless omega, get on board for a laugh loaded 10 minute spin through the world of work in the grip of a demented manager from hell!

A hilarious take on office behavior and how to navigate the day to day of administration work under a terrible boss. Carnes' dialogue flows quickly, angering you, making you laugh while you are also going through so many emotions. If you ever work in an office, prepare to have fun with this play but also prepare to feel so frustrated.

Sh*t Train is a very funny and dark take on office politics. I was fortunate to see this amusing and thought-provoking play at Funhouse IV in Seattle earlier this month. The audience and the actors were having so much fun with this play and so was I. Looking forward to seeing more of Rachael Carnes's work!

What a terrific, short, funny play! I love the spare zip to the lines, the sharp turns into the dark streets of inappropriate behavior, and the perfectly tuned wolf pack metaphor, that demonstrates the often feral behavior that exist in 'normal' daily jobs. Would be a blast to perform!

The new employee. The obfuscating boss. Sh*t Train is the stuff of the real world for any new employee lost and trying to get by. We've been that employee. We know that boss. This is the most terrifyingly true part of this 10 minute wonder.

As with her "In Training," Rachael again masterfully caricatures the often insane world of work. In "Sh%t Train" or "Sh#t Train" (however you wish to spell it), the poor employee has no idea if (s)he's coming or going, as the employer is such an expert at gaslighting and giving mixed signals. I have no idea how Rachael came to know the boss I worked for in my last job, because she nails him (or her).

This sh*t train goes up hill! When you think it can't get any zanzier, it does, thanks to Carnes' bonkers-style comedy. This is a perfect satire on the ridiculousness and inconsistency of Trust-building and Standard of Work in the workplace, on the awkwardness of communication between newbie and supervisor. Just need two chairs and a desk, maybe just the bare stage. Highly recommended for comedy showcases across the globe! This universal comedy will appeal to people of different cities, countries and cultures. Produce it! Rachael: more office/work plays, please!
