Brilliant capture of how work feels some times. Oh, who am I fooling, most days but that's what makes this play such an hilarious piece. Understandable that it's winning fans on both sides of the pond. I will definitely be seeing this at the Funhouse this November and how great it was to see this staged at the Funhouse in Seattle. Just saw it last night and laughed throughout! What a great short play.

Read this play by Rachael Carnes right now. Then read her play “In Training.” Next, immediately produce both as companion pieces... if you’re looking for an uproarious take on the devastating absurdities of corporate life... in your next evening of shorts. Both plays are home runs.

  • Jennifer O'Grady: SH*T TRAIN

A taut and very funny darkly comic two-hander about the mundane horrors of the workplace and the employer/employee relationship. Carnes does an excellent job with this fast-moving short play that pretty much everyone will be able to relate to. I would love to see this on stage!
