A touching piece about the reflections we all make on our lives.
Aging is a painful, nasty thing. But, it is also beautiful. We, as humans, must never forget that. "153" reflects that message beautifully. Well done.

Heartbreaking beauty. Yes, yes, the play is well structured, paced and composed ... but oh the heart swells when reading these words. A powerful and necessary play. Very well done.

STEVEN G. MARTIN’s “153’ is powerful and poignant. This ten-minute play will evoke strong emotions from the audience. We see love, hated, regret, forgiveness, all so beautifully shown.

This is so beautiful, it's almost religious! In the best possible way religious. It is about loving yourself and not fearing the future. The hard times will be there, yes, but you must always make room for love. For yourself and others. So so so beautiful.

What a fantastic ten-minute play--moving and beautiful. No surprise that it's had so many productions. The script gives us info about who its three characters are, but for anyone who hasn't read and is instead watching it, the play's story will unfold in a very surprising and wonderfully theatrical way. So well done!

What a wonderful study of expectation, regret, and forgiveness. There is a truth in this show. There is little wonder why this short play has had the production history that it has had. It's so very well done.

What a fun puzzle of a play. I saw a production of this at Madlab's Theatre Roulette 2023, and it was delightful as realization dawned on me as to who these characters were to each other. Steven G. Martin masterfully draws out these characters at different stages of their lives. 153 is wistful and bittersweet but ultimately uplifting.

What a gift of a play this is. Simple, heartfelt, filled with humanity, acceptance, forgiveness. May we all see ourselves the way this one (these three?) do, and when we are summed up, may we feel just as complete as they, and as this lovely play.

It was really funny but equally saddening. There were several moments that really hit me and made me reread the moment of dialogue to really understand the implications of the characters words. I absolutely love the feeling of relatability between the characters (obviously because they are one in the same). And LOVE the ending too!
