Andrew's play kept me turning pages wanting to know more about these characters and what will happen to them. Part of a puzzle that reveals itself at the end. Sad and realistic. The title suggests one thing and is turned on its head.

A believable and poignant short drama with two great roles written for an actor and an actress. The play hooks you from the moment it begins all the way to its heartbreaking conclusion. I would love to see this performed. Incredibly well done!

The power of love between mother and son is shown intensely in this piece. Understanding you have enabled your child's worst habits is heart wrenching. I felt such sadness for this mother.

A riveting play about the intensity of a mother’s love and the lengths to which she will go through to make her child happy, even if she finds herself participating in his destruction. A thought-provoking play that will tug on your heart! The ending will bring it all together and catch you off guard. It sure did me. Powerful!

This play hits hard from the start and then knocks you for a bigger loop at the end. Heartbreaking. A great piece for actors to showcase some heavy emotion!

I don’t have words to adequately describe Andrew Martineau’s beautiful writing or the emotional impact of this play. Heartbreaking is certainly a word that comes to mind but doesn’t really do justice to the many emotional levels experienced in such a short time span. I highly recommend reading and staging this play.

I highly recommend this heart-breaking play by Andrew Martineau about the punishments we make for both ourselves and others. As someone who had a drug-addicted sibling, you feel so powerless to stop the behavior that's killing the family in ways you never imagined. This piece perfectly captures the sense of wanting to return to a time before it all falls apart. And it shows how we make our own prisons ruled over by guilt, grief and regret. This is strong writing and this play should be staged as a cautionary tale.

I love a good twist, and ANDREW MARTINEAU delivers. The pain of drug addiction and enabling intersect in this family drama. A truly powerful short piece.

MARTINEAU is a great. This is the first play I have read and rec’d of his…and I surely will come back for more! What really stuck out to me is the fact that we don’t really know why Iris is in Prison; that’s the intriguing part. And MARTINEAU‘s writing style; O my god. The fact that he could take so much heart and cramp it into a 10 minute piece….
To say ‘Bravo’ would be an understatement.
The word ‘Visitation’ is only the beginning.

Had a feeling right from the beginning that things were not exactly as they seemed. A great character piece with high stakes and believable behavior. Once you realize what is actually going on it leads into a very satisfying ending.
